About Federal Career Experts
Our main area of expertise is federal retirement, especially for employees who are covered under the special provisions for Law Enforcement Officers and Firefighters.

We have delivered classes (pre-retirement, mid-career planning, and early career planning) to agencies including the  Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the Army and the Navy.

For ten years, they provided pre-retirement and career development training and consulting to federal agencies as a subcontractor with organizations such as the Graduate School USDA and FPMI Solutions (now Federal Management Institute).

Every pre-retirement offering meets or exceeds the requirements set down by OPM in BAL 11-104, Agency Retirement Financial Education Plans.

Our retirement instructors/consultants are John Grobe, Ehren Clovis, Syrena West and FX Bergmeister.  Together, they have over 150 years of federal and military experience.

John is a recognized expert in the area of federal retirement. He has written two books and too many articles to count on this complex topic.

His books, which are continuously updated as laws and regulations change, are The Answer Book on Your Federal Employee Benefits (LRP), and Understanding the Federal Retirement Systems (Federal Management Institute).
